I was hesitant to spend so much money on a coat, but decided to treat myself after making it through 2020. After receiving the coat, I could not possibly be more pleased. I was worried about the length because I'm a short guy with broad shoulders. But the fit is great. It's got a good weight to it and it's warm enough for a Chicago winter, but it's light enough to billow dramatically in the Chicago winds. If there's a single complaint I have, it's that the hood is comically large. But that's such a small complaint, especially since the hood is detachable. All said, I love it, and would definitely recommend it to others.
As a proud and happy owner of the "Hunter" coat. This coat kept warm and comfortable in most COLD Arizona nights and made me look stylish and cool in the day. I would recommend anyone with a disposable and fluid income to invest and get a wonderful coat such as this. The pockets are big and deep especially I can put my mask, phone, gloves, and more. I love this coat Andover this company who made it I will plan to buy from this company again in the near future
I bought this with a little worry on sizing, as I'm a bit of a stocky guy (especially in the middle). But I used the size tool and trusted the results (49 regular fit), and it paid off. I've never had a coat that fit this well--usually if the waist is right, the sleeves are too short or the shoulders are loose, and vice-versa--and the style and colors are dead perfect for my general wardrobe style. I am beyond pleased with my purchase and I'll definitely be buying again and recommending Volante to friends.
The coat fits extremely well. Something I've always been a little worried about with VG-inspired apparel is that I'd look a little *too* out of place or incongruent. I'm not exactly the best looking guy, so, you know, I need my clothes to look good. Suffice to say, the coat does a *LOT* of work on a lot of different levels. It's subtle and understated enough to blend in on cold days, but draws the right level of attention. As far as the quality goes, I've never had temperature regulation issues with it between ~-2-19C. It's definitely built for colder climates, but the comfort is great and the silhouette is incredibly flattering. It keeps you warm, it sits well, and doesn't make you overheat. It's water resistant and the wax coat slicks the water from fog, rain and snow off without any real challenge. The coat is well worth the investment, and like a a leather jacket, comes to fit your body over usage. I know in about 5 or 6 years, this jacket'll still be in great shape and it'll become an heirloom-style piece of clothing to be handed down to kids when they consider it vintage. If I had one complaint, I do wish the wax coat were able to commit either to being lighter and less prone to showing creases, or thicker to resist them. I wear the coat in the "left flap set in buttons" configuration quite often, and there's an obvious crease when I wear it fully closed. Before I forget, the hood is also awesome. Volante design never fails to make a hood that covers your face, protects you from the elements, but doesn't totally blind you. Overall, if you're in the market to invest in a coat that'll last you for years, this is easily worth the purchase.
Just got it and I'm so happy with how it looks and feels it's just awesome
