It was a birthday gift
Was worth every penny! I purchased this for someone special in my life for his birthday. I knew he wanted this coat but couldn’t afford it. He was speechless! The coat fit perfect and he looks so good in it
Tested in New Zealand
I ran into Volante Design at E3 June, 2019, and approached them with a reserved skepticism thinking "more cheap cosplay materials that look pretty from afar." I'm glad to say I couldn't have been more wrong about them. Firstly, I was instantly blown away by the quality and absolute comfort of their products. I had an excellent experience with the employees on station, who I had wonderful conversation with about the clothing, and fitted me in a couple of their long coats. (I love long coats, currently owning an oilskin duster) They gave me a business card with recommended sizes for me to look at later on, as I had not come prepared for that scale of purchase at the time, but vowed to follow up online when I returned home. This I did, and within a week of my introduction, I made the purchase of this Son of Sparda Mercenary long coat, just in time for my travels to New Zealand, where it was tested true in their winter for a month, before going on from there to Alaska, and back to my home state of Colorado. The quality of the coat, and materials, are absolutely worth the price. One of my favourite things about this coat is the versatility built in with the zippered and foldable, rollable cuffs, and the double zipper design in front "for easy access to your monster slaying swords" as one of the members of the company told me during my initial experience. This coat can be itself stylised in a multitude of different ways, for casual, cooling, protection from elements, or even more formal ventures. The slimming feel and fitted design feel just as though it was specifically tailored to me, and I am amazed by this. It has served me well the past 2 months from bushwhacking in New Zealand, to cold weather hiking in the Yukon, to formal dinners on a cruise, and more. (It's been an unusual 2 months for me, as well. I don't always live that actively, but it worked well as a solid test of the coat). Through all of this, I was complimented and asked by strangers about my awesome, badass, impressive jacket almost daily. Nearly every new place I went someone took interest in the quality and smooth fitting of the coat, and I happily pointed them to Volante Design, letting them take a picture of the single business card I've held onto since E3, and in some cases, the interested party immediately going to this website to start browsing for products. To sum, this is an amazing coat, its Devil May Cry affiliation may as well be irrelevant for all the sharp integration with other pieces of wardrobe. The lining is excellent, interior pockets useful and classy, the denim shell and incredibly versatile design making for a standout long coat that I am proud to have in my collection; you can expect me to return for more from Volante's emporium. Look no further for badassery that's subtle enough to wear every day. -Anthony V (Bastion)
The best DMC 5 Dante's jacket available in the market
I'm 5'7 with a 36-34-38 measurement and I did a sizing consult which they recommended me a size 41. The coat fits perfectly with a very slight wiggle room for comfort and mobility otherwise, it is a very good fit! However, the sleeve length of the coat was too long for my arm as it almost covers up my fingers so I had them shortened the sleeve length to my prefered length so make sure to do a sizing consult with them and to measure your arm length so they can also see what they can do about it if it might be too long for you or not. Other than that I am in love with this coat and it's probably the one of the best if not the best DMC5 inspired Dante's coat available out there. The material and work done on this coat is pure quality and definitely American hand made! It's also a big attention grabber so whenever I wear this coat in public I get all of the attention from other people so be prepared for that if you are ready to rock this coat and become a demon hunter!
Feels great, looks amazing!
I've only used the jacket a handful of times due to the high temperatures, but it's fantastic. Twice while raining and it not only kept me dry in the mist and drizzle, but even when it rains then pours, i was still high and dry. Definitely cant wait to use it as part of my Dante Cosplay! Thank you!
