Getting a coat like this has been a long time dream finally coming true! After looking around online at other designs and being turned off by the rampant copying and untrustworthy sites, I came across this one. It strikes the right balance between hitting the style and being practical for the regular human. I may not be a devil hunter, but the Son of Sparda coat hits all the right feels!
The denim choice for material may be a turn off to some versus the digital counterpart's genuine leather, but I find the change makes for a very comfortable and breathable wear. I could easily wear this from Fall to Spring with the right Winter layers. I expected it to be a body heat trap but it's honestly not. I initially thought I'd only be able to use this in chilly weather but a full open wear could also work in the bit warmer temperatures, at least for me personally. If this is your first long coat like it is for me, there will be a slight adjustment period as you learn to wear one. I've otherwise not had any issues moving around, sitting, or driving while wearing the coat. It's also good enough to lounge in and grab a slice of pizza like the main man himself would. It's that comfortable! The double direction zipper is very handy and doesn't extend too far downwards to be annoying to zip up. Being able to have the zipper done in any preference helps whether you want to be fully zipped or just zipped enough to stop the coat from flapping open and free in the wind.
If I have to find a negative to the design, I'm personally a bit against the pockets. The two outer pockets are big and deep. If you need to carry something, they got you covered. But inside, it's more limited. With that moisture wicking lining, it doesn't leave the inside with much places for pockets. Think of a suit jacket and you'll get a rough idea of how it goes. I'd have preferred a deep pocket on the inside for something like a popular handheld console. The outside pockets will do the job, but just keep in mind there's no large inside pocket to keep it away from wandering hands in a large crowd. The coat does thankfully have a couple inside pockets located on the left that are big enough for modern smartphones. My 6.8" screen size smartphone with a case fits in fine, secured, not too tight, and not swallowed up for difficult retrieval. Snaking up some wired headphones or keeping things close in Bluetooth congested zones is no problem. Neither inside pocket is as big as I'd like one to be, but they still come in handy and I'm glad to have them!
All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase. It's got the style, the right feel, and wears like a functional coat rather than a costume piece with limited use. The port red color is great without being a bold eyesore. It's been more casual glances from people than freakish stares. I have no regrets with my purchase! For reference to the length fit, I am 6'1". The mask is Volante Design's Bridge Mask in Black Garnet.
