Amazing quality

My friend and I went in 50/50 to purchase this for another friend of ours for his birthday. I have to say the shipping was much faster than expected and on top of that the quality of the coat is superb! Excellent job!

Five-star Fox

My previous Volante purchase and point of comparison is a Maya in mens 41. I'm 6'2" and 190 lbs. I've had a couple of months with The Fox in the Portland late-winter, early-spring weather. I've never taken it through a downpour, but it's stood up to driizzle well. The Fox looks great and its waxed canvas feels almost armor-like when it's on. That armor-y feel means it's a lot stiffer than my Maya, and the size 41 that I initially ordered felt too confining, so I exchanged it (hassle-free, by the way) for a 43. It's loose enough to have a little extra clothing under, but still has that fitted, Volante look. I like it.

Was not expecting this

Went above and beyond my expectations, nice and warm as well. I normally pile 2-3 jackets vs just my undershirt,shirt, and this. Ive also gotten a lot of compliments on the design.

Just as cool as it looks online

One word - quality. The jacket is just the highest quality possible. Every stitch is perfect, the fabrics are perfect, the positioning of pockets, the snap as you attach and remove the hood, it is all just the best possible quality. The piece itself is a medium warmth - we are just coming into autumn (fall) in Australia and I can see it getting a lot of wear on chilly evenings, rainy days and once winter gets started properly. It cuts the wind well, but I haven't had to test it in rain just yet. On a REALLY cold day, you might need a sweater or wool knit underneath it for extra warmth. This is my second jacket from Volante (plus a heap of masks and the Operator bag system still coming) and I've been impressed with each and every item.
