Love the Jacket
Really nicely made. The fit is incredible, looking more like a custom fitting. I may get another.
the neckline is a little
the neckline is a little big/loose but otherwise I love it
Now I Feel Ready To GO .... Boldly!
I wanted to wear it to the SDCC, I will do so next year. I own a lot of Star Trek uniforms and a few great jackets, but this is the best one so far! When I took it out of the box it fit just as I expected it would. The quality and the material is even better than I expected. Its Summer here now but as soon as there is a chill in the air I will be living in this jacket. I can hardly wait to order my next piece of art from Volante Design. I"d like to suggest making the Starfleet 2256 in solid colors like in the second season of Discovery, Captain Pike. I'd buy one of those too.
Very comfortable, quality fit and construction
Well worth the price, especially since it was designed and made in the US. The fabric and construction just feel premium, the jacket is very comfortable to wear, and I received a lot of compliments the first day I wore it even from people who didn't pick up on the Star Trek connection. It was warm enough for 50-60F and would probably work for a little bit chillier weather with a thermal below it. I would recommend going one size up on the fit (or using the sizing consultation) if you don't want the jacket to be skin tight or if you want to wear more than a thin t-shirt below it, as the sizing guidelines suggest. I initially purchased my exact size but it was fairly tight around the chest and under the arms. The next size up was much less restrictive and still looks very tailored. Thankfully Volante's exchange process is super quick and hassle-free. Emma helped get my exchange to me within a few days.
